Brief Session Description: What steps can leaders take in our schools to create and seize upon opportunities to shape the future of learning? How can carefully selected technologies serve to support and redefine learning experiences that develop, not only content knowledge, but also the future skills and habits of mind increasingly expected of students today, tomorrow, and in 2030? To answer these questions, the Hampton Township School District in the suburbs of Pittsburgh is working as part of a network of schools focused on remaking learning in our region. Simultaneously, we are consulting with national leaders like Dr. Ruben Puentedura to bring a strategic global focus to a shared vision of the future. Come prepared to learn about and discuss resources and networks, and how we can build a vision for our schools while leading technological change and shaping the future of student learning.
