Brief Session Description: The Beaverton School District recently completed a large scale technology implementation providing devices to all students and has rolled out a Learning Management System providing a digital classroom environment. Although these actions were significant, we learned many of our students were unable to access digital resources from home. We have made great strides with community partnerships and hotspot programs. Despite improvements, we are now noticing a digital use divide that revolves around significant differences in instruction.

This session will focus on our current work of providing opportunities as well as implementing digital citizenship teaching and assessment plans across our district. This session will include concrete examples of individual school initiatives, district-wide efforts, and of teaching and assessment practice geared towards the evolving nature of educational technology and integrated instruction. Specifically, we will highlight
-K-12 Innovation Expo
-During the teaching day PD model
-Latino Parent Technology Nights
-Digital Citizenship Assessment
Skill Level: Intermediate
