Brief Session Description: Discover how strategically planning social media integration from pre-k through high school can help promote positive social-emotional learning and lead to an effective social presence for both educators and their students. In this session, participants will learn about how to choose and introduce technologies according to student age and readiness, how to use the chosen approaches to create community and promote social-emotional learning, and how progressive integration of social media can lead to positive social presence that is beneficial to students even after they have graduated from high school. Administrators will walk away with practical ideas that can help grow students into being responsible digital citizens while also growing self-esteem, community, and global learning networks that can meet the needs of the whole child.
