Key Partnerships: How Student Veterans and Disability/Accessibility Offices Can Collaborate
Track: Student Success Track (Sponsored by Southern New Hampshire University)
Student veterans may think "I'm not disabled; why would I ever need the Disability/Accessibility Office?" But are veterans missing valuable information and assistance by not knowing more about this office?

In this session, the co-presenters will provide collaborative information for student veterans, leaders, and advisors regarding what student veterans need to know about their campus's Disability/Accessibility Services office and how this office can assist with service-related injuries or conditions. Attendees will learn how service-related injuries may qualify student veterans for services, levels of confidentiality veterans can expect from this type of office, and collaborative ways veterans and disability/accessibility offices can work together on college campuses to ensure that student veterans are informed of the options available to them.
