Camden Ege, University of Southern Maine
Camden spent six years in the Air Force from 2007 to 2013 as a Security Forces member. His duties and responsibilities included law enforcement and nuclear security. Camden's awards and decorations include an Air Force Achievement Medal, the 90th Security Support Squadron's 2010 Airman of the Year, the 90th Security Forces Squadron's 2012 Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, and the Airman Leadership School Distinguished Graduate Award, as well as numerous others.

Upon leaving service in 2013, Camden enrolled in an undergraduate program at the University of Southern Maine. While studying Criminology and Leadership & Organizational Studies, Camden became involved with his local chapter of Student Veterans of America and USM's VA work-study program. He became a facilitator of the University's Green Zone training, a program that trains faculty and staff on the unique aspects and needs of student veterans. Furthermore, Camden became the first Team Leader of USM's Peer Advisors for Veterans Education (PAVE) program. PAVE is a peer support program that connects incoming student veterans with student veterans already on campus.

Camden earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Leadership & Organizational Studies in 2016 and his Master of Arts in Leadership Studies at the University of Southern Maine in 2018. In his role as the Assistant Coordinator of Veterans Services and a School Certifying Official, Camden is responsible for certifying enrollment and processing all VA education benefits. He also manages the University's VA work-study program and oversees the Veterans Resource Center.
