Mrs. Karen L Poff, Virginia Cooperative Extension - Warren County, Senior Extension Agent
Bio: Karen has served as an Extension Agent with Virginia Cooperative Extension for 31 years. She is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating research-based Extension education programs for diverse audiences. Her primary emphasis is on family financial education in a five-county area in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. She received her undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Studies from Radford University and her Master's in Public Administration from James Madison University. Karen has been an Accredited Financial Counselor since 2007. She is currently a Master's Candidate in Family Financial Planning with Kansas State University. A highly motivated and competent educator, Karen is an effective collaborator, outstanding leader, and exceptional team player. Her contributions include excellence in program development, research, publications, and volunteerism. Her dedication to the profession has made a significant difference for families throughout Virginia. Karen feels blessed to help people improve their quality of life through financial education.
