Alena C. Johnson, Utah State University, Principal Lecturer
Co-Presenter Bio: Alena C. Johnson is a lecturer at Utah State University where she teaches hundreds of students each semester how to better manage their money. She has taught over 22,000 students through USU alone. Her Family Finance class was voted by students as the second most popular class on campus. She also teaches webinars and review sessions for the AFCPE, helping many individuals pass their certification exams. She is an accredited financial counselor and very active in AFCPE. In 2014, she was the AFCPE Educator of the Year Award recipient. Alena is also the creator of the Step-Down Principle and author of the Financial Checkup, Financial Remedies, and other publications. She loves teaching individuals, couples, and family's easy-to-apply financial strategies to help them improve their financial situations. She especially loves spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
