Session Description: Together we will explore the latest research on bilingualism, including how learning multiple languages influences brain development and the many cognitive benefits. We will also focus on practical strategies to support children who are dual language learners. Participants will leave with new resources and knowledge about dual language learning.
Learning Objectives. Please share 3 key objectives:
1) Describe the brain's role in supporting dual language learning and the cognitive, social emotional, and cultural advantages of learning more than one language.
2) Develop practical strategies to support children who are dual language learners.
3) Identify ways to implement support for dual language learners in the classroom.
