Session Description: Let's think outside the classroom to discover the power of place. Oxbow's environmental educators and OSPI will help build your outdoor teaching toolkit by sharing our favorite NGSS-supportive schoolyard activities. We'll also look at OSPI's Environmental and Sustainability Education (ESE) tool, a resource for lesson inspiration in all content areas.
Learning Objectives. Please share 3 key objectives:

1) Knowing that teaching ESE out-of-doors can be influential for early learners and affords a rich, relevant, inspiring context for integrated learning across content areas.

2) Having experienced several science activities that they can immediately offer their students and familiar with OSPI's ESE Content Connections tool and Oxbow's up-and-coming compendium where they can look for more.

3) Inspired by Oxbow's case study of how to bridge formal and non-formal education practices to enhance every student's learning experience and learning environment.
