Session Description: Washington State is the third highest state in the nation for the number of identified migrant students. Our WaKIDS data shows that, year after year, these students are entering kindergarten with the largest readiness gaps. Join us for a fun and engaging session that will walk you through migrant education and the resources available for families.
Learning Objectives. Please share 3 key objectives:
1) Identify the unique needs of migrant preschoolers.
2) Identify areas of concern and areas of strength as it relates to migrant students and families.
3) Learn about efforts currently taking place in our state to better support migrant preschool students.
