Session Description: At its core, computer science is more than learning coding, computer programing, and understanding technology use. Its practices involve a deep understanding of problem solving, communication, critical thinking and reasoning, equity, and collaborating. Computer science can be introduced and explored at an early age and support student growth. STEM credits available.
Learning Objectives. Please share 3 key objectives:
1) Understand how the Computer Science Core Practices can increase student achievement in multiple areas.
2) Participate in STEM activities that can be done with students/children at an early age to increase their CS knowledge.
3) Develop new knowledge as an educator/community member/parent around Computer science and the importance it has on our children's future.
