2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Breakouts
The ADDIE model of instructional design is a widely used best practice for curriculum creation within the private sector. The ADDIE model encourages the use of subject matter experts, but the level of collaboration is not clearly defined. The Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center relies on teaming and collaboration (internally and externally) to create better, more thorough curricula using a clearly defined curriculum development process. Because the Resource Center adheres strongly to the PA Child Welfare Practice Model, and believes in the parallel process, final products are comprehensive and relevant to child welfare professionals in the state of Pennsylvania.
