This interactive workshop provides attendees with a strategic blueprint, customized for their institution, to provide a long term approach to increasing student Veteran success personally, academically and professionally. This approach abandons the "one size fits all" model and supports customization of programming and services to each unique population and institutional culture. As universities and colleges throughout the United States develop programming to support student Veteran, most programs are resourced according to individual institution's interest and focus on aspects of student support rather than a comprehensive, holistic research based model.
Administrators and Directors need a consistent model which demonstrates both strengths and gaps in service for each campus in service to student Veterans in a visual, intuitive manner. This model dramatically illustrates the necessary steps needed to provide comprehensive services and also enables institutions to intentionally resource and set priorities to ensure the retention and graduation of student Veterans.
