How to apply for fellowships for graduate study in science and engineering; NSF's Graduate Research Fellowship
This session will provide advice on how to apply for federal fellowships for graduate school in science and engineering fields, using the National Science Foundation's Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) as a model. Tips and strategies for preparing effective fellowship and graduate school applications in general will be provided. The NSF GRFP supports students to go to graduate school to pursue research-based Master's and doctoral degrees in science and engineering. Each Fellowship ($138,000) consists of three years of support during a five-year fellowship period, usable at any accredited university in the U.S. NSF especially encourages women, members of underrepresented minority groups, persons with disabilities, veterans, and undergraduate seniors to apply.
