Rachelle Thompson is currently the Program Coordinator for Northern Virginia Community College's Working Students Success Network, a program that provides students with essential non-academic supports. Prior to working at NOVA, she developed George Mason University's Mason CARES, a suicide prevention and mental health outreach program. Rachelle has a background in developing student success initiatives for institutions of higher education, implementing private and federal grants, and working with populations at-risk. She has a passion for doing the "behind-the-scenes-work" of program development for the health and human services arena. Rachelle's educational background includes a Master of Social Work and an MS in Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University, located in Northern Virginia. A native of Hawaii, she earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Brigham Young University - Hawaii, as well as a Certificate in Intercultural Peacebuilding.
