Bryce Jorgensen is an Assistant Professor and Family Resource Management Specialist in the department of Family and Consumer Sciences at New Mexico State University. Bryce was an Assistant Professor of Child Development and Family Relations at East Carolina University until he moved to NMSU in January, 2016. He received his Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies at Virginia Tech; his two M.S. degrees are in Human Development and Family Resource Management, both from Virginia Tech. His B.S. degree is from the Department of Marriage, Family, and Human Development at Brigham Young University. Bryce researches the financial capability of emerging adults, the financial literacy and competence of marriage family therapists (MFT's), and program evaluation. Bryce is actively involved in increasing the financial capability of the citizens of New Mexico through Extension outreach as well as students across his campus in order to help them graduate with less debt, persist through graduation, and lower the likelihood of defaulting on their loans.
