Sharing Ownership with Employees: One Company's Journey

One of the basic tenets of the Great Game is that the company must provide participating employees with a stake in the outcome. Brothers Paul and Joel Worcester made a personal commitment to provide that stake by enabling their employees to share in company ownership. They believe in aligning the employees' goals and interests with their own - a desire to build a growing company that builds its value. With that principled decision made, they embarked on a long journey of exploration seeking to determine how best to implement that principle.

The purpose of this session is to share Paul and Joel's experience and the key lessons they learned on that journey. We will review the various options that the brothers considered, and then present the essentials of the program that Paul and Joel ended up designing for their company so their employees could have a true stake in the company's successful growth.
