Jamie Matusek, President of Catalyst, a marketing agency specializing in student and multifamily housing, will share her experience on how, through understanding costs, pricing models, and employees, companies can dramatically shift business in a very short period of time. She will explain how using rewards helps motivate teams to drive revenue and achieve goals, ultimately creating loyalty and a challenging but fun work environment.

Jamie credits open-book management for enabling Catalyst to:

-go from -$400k in 2014 to +$400k in 2016

-grow 129% from 2014 to 2015

-grow an additional 79 to 96% in 2017

-take debt from $375k to zero in a 2-year timeframe

-grow total revenues from $1.9 to $2.5m

She and Christy McFerren, Senior Director at Catalyst, will share specific examples of employee dashboards, financial roll-up reports (reporting can be fun!), and ways they successfully structure games to create engagement with revenue holders.

An audience participation exercise will be leveraged so participants walk away with actionable information they can immediately put into practice to help transform their own teams and businesses. Attendees will be given challenges and guided through developing new and unique ideas to drive employee engagement/incentives through a campaign, based on The Great Game of Business and open-book management, that focuses on teamwork, accountability to ultimately positively impact the bottom line.
