2:15 PM - 3:30 PM: Breakout 3
This presentation will illustrate some cool and innovative formats available which utilize or could utilize highly targeted variable data. Some of these packages are self-mailers and others are envelope packages. Various imaging technologies will also be presented from traditional cut sheet, roll to roll, inline imaging, digital printing and inkjet web printing options. Different read/read and read/write imaging scenarios will be included.
With today's technology, there are many different production workflows available to best fit the specs of a particular innovative package. Different workflows will be discussed and how and when to best select the production method for your particular package and what could make your package more unique. This could depend on the job specs, imaging requirements, amount of component matching, quality concerns, and lead times needed.
There will also be an explanation of hybrid production scenarios, which can leverage of some of the advantages of different production workflows into a clever and unique direct mail package. In the non-profit world, production folks are always looking for cost effective, innovative and eye-catching packages, but also typically require a return piece and return envelope. Some hybrid scenarios can allow for both "the cool" and "the required" to be integrated together.
