8:15 AM - 9:20 AM: Breakout 1
We've all experienced it. The cool package that you love turns out to be a complete bomb. And the ugly package that everybody hates is the control that can't be beat. In this session, we'll use real world examples from the Ocean Conservancy and PETA direct response programs to show how smart analysis can help you avoid the pitfalls of design that doesn't work. We'll explain how to set up multivariate tests to determine quickly what design elements help performance and what elements are killing response?avoiding months or years of incremental testing that won't move the needle. We'll examine how you should vary design based on your audience?and share tips for using analysis to sharpen your efforts to acquire, convert, cultivate and upgrade donors. And we'll show you how you can leverage the data you already have to create fundraising efforts that both look good and that will raise more dollars.
