The Rise of the Citizen Storyteller: How to Build an Organizational Culture That Encourages and Engages Your Natural Storytellers
Thursday, August 3rd, 2017
11:15 AM - 12:30 PM: Breakout 2
Is your organization doing everything it can to encourage good storytelling? Are you utilizing all of the best practices to make that happen? Do you have engaged citizen storytellers--both on staff and among your external supporters--on board? And what does all of that even look like? In this session we'll share current research in strategic storytelling from Georgetown University's Center for Integrated Social Impact, along with case studies from organizations who are trying to get storytelling right (both successes and failures). We'll guide you through an exercise to analyze what your organizational culture currently is and present you with key steps you can take to help build your organizational storytelling culture.
