The Alchemy of Golden Ideas: Morphing Dull Facts into a Message with Power to Change

Our brains are learning to process information differently; we think more quickly, change direction more often, and get distracted more easily. This leaves us with the average attention span of a goldfish. Traditional communication with donors cannot keep up in a distracted, competitive, commoditized market. When we speak the language of creativity, we can transform a dull commodity into something magical. When you cast the spell of fascination, you can transform a staple into a story line.
Our teams need to drop the silos and come together in a creative process to distill the intricacies of an organization, then hone them into an idea sharp enough to cut through people's natural resistance, into their hearts and their brains, ultimately connecting with the magical decision-making hot button that decides to make a donation.
We use a culmination of art and science to fundraise every day. Mining data to drive decisions and priorities across our organizations is the science. Creating relationships with our donors is a part of the art. Creating a message that spellbinds people is the magic. When we learn to strategically and methodically use this message and we harness the power to fascinate our donors today and into the future.
