Vickery Learning, Learning Architect, Consultant
Emily Vickery is a teacher, learning architect, and consultant, with over twenty-five years of broad-based educational experience?from teaching students in the classroom to working with the U. S. State Department, policymakers, corporations, and nonprofits. She served as a fellow with Teaching Tolerance, a project of Southern Poverty Law Center, where she developed anti-bias curriculum and wrote the special report on Columbine High School five years after the tragedy. She served as an Apple Professional Learning consultant, and she has designed several educational programs weaving in effective uses of technology. She was on the design team for the USDE initiative League of Innovative Educators and co-author of Teaching 2030 and Teacher Preparation 2.0. She co-taught the Social Justice curriculum strand for the Teacher Leadership Initiative, a joint initiative of the National Education Association, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and the Center for Teaching Quality.
