Brief Session Description: Teaching professionals, students and support staff are extremely demanding in their usage of technology, with good reason. The dependency has never been greater. No matter what size and regardless of the demands, most school jurisdictions operate under the same expectations as large enterprise organizations. The situation is particularly challenging for small to medium sized jurisdictions, where often the unspoken expectation is to provide large enterprise class services on a SMB (small to medium business) size budget.
In this session we will draw from various large enterprise computing practices to suggest approaches for integrating these practices into small to medium sized jurisdictions.
Utilizing standard frameworks in areas of service management, enterprise architecture & project management this session will provide tangible examples, ideas and directions on how smaller school jurisdictions can realistically apply large enterprise computing practices in their unique context in order to create effective world-class technology infrastructure, regardless of size.
