Brief Session Description: Join Doug Renfro from Metro Nashville Public Schools and learn how they are leveraging an open-source, research-based framework called "CASE - Classroom, Access, Skills, and Environment" which helps leaders link technology use to student learning outcomes. Doug will discuss the large challenge that school leaders face today in moving from simply "digitizing 20th century practice" towards embracing entirely new learning outcomes only possible through the thoughtful integration of technology. The discussion will cover the how MNPS is empowering their schools through illuminating gains and areas of opportunity, targeting PD for teachers and staff, evaluating programs that are having the most/least impact on student learning, and ensuring that all areas are focused on 21st Century Learners and Teachers relative to the 4Cs of Critical Thinking, Communication, Creativity and Collaboration.
