Brief Session Description: Seeking to help students develop as critical thinkers, educators are incorporating project-based learning and design thinking across the curriculum. In order for these strategies to be effective, however, thinking skills need to be developed through a scaffolded process. Computational thinking is the universal language that enables students to break problems into manageable parts, observe patterns and trends, identify principles related to patterns, and develop step-by-step instructions for solving problems. In this interactive session, participants will understand skills they already have and how to develop these further to enable all students to become more resilient problem solvers.
