Room: Arkansas
Format: Concurrent Session - 60 Minutes
Primary Essential Skill: Leadership and Vision
Secondary Essential Skill: Team Building & Staffing
Audience: School System Administrators
Brief Session Description: NSBA has a rich tradition of identifying up and coming leaders in education and educational technology, from superintendents, CTOs, CAOs, principals and classroom leaders. Ann Flynn, NSBA education technology director, and Gordon Dahlby, Senior Fellow, Center of Digital Education, will moderate a panel of several 2017 20 to Watch honorees.
Panelists will be asked share their insights and experiences with innovation. How do they bring their peers along to foster a climate and culture of innovators in educators and students? What are the key foundations and unique qualities across the district roles that foster an innovator's mindset? What special role should technology play in an innovative district? And we'll ask them to share a vision of the future as to what they see coming "next" in their settings and K12 teaching and learning. Audience questions will be entertained.
