Brief Session Description: In order to achieve STEM access for all students, a district must coordinate great content and online access. This access for all is the way to increase student achievement. Panelists from JASON Learning, a large district such as Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, and AASA, the School Superintendents Association, will discuss efforts to increase access for traditionally under-served populations by coupling great content with carefully-selected technology solutions. The implementation of JASON has increased science test-scores at the 8th grade level, but most importantly the leveraging of personalized learning has increased the number of students focusing on STEM at home and at school. In short, a focus on STEM delivered online with a "platform agnostic" approach making the vision of equity and access a reality.
