Brief Session Description: In this one hour session, participants will experience a hands on experience, as they understand the powerful and resonating plea for creativity and making in the elementary classroom. Driven by hands on activities, this session will emphasize practical mobile makerspace opportunities which build a school culture of making, engaging young students and propelling critical thinking. Fast paced, participants will engage in design challenges and multi task as rich discussion ensues. Participants will learn to view assessment through a new lens, as they understand how it must be embedded into the process of making more than living solely in the end result. After attending this session, participants will have multiple takeaways such high level technology support ideas, quick design challenge ideas, and an invigorated passion to inspire making in their school.
