Brief Session Description: Looking to expand your capacity to reach students with a variety of instructional needs? From a small pilot in 2011 to a sustainable and viable educational option for secondary students, Baltimore County Public Schools' office of eLearning is erasing the traditional school day and blurring the boundaries of the school year. Participants will explore Baltimore County Public Schools eLearning solution, a multi-phase approach to meeting unique situations, learning styles, and needs. From planning to full-scale implementation, this session will provide large and small systems with strategies to disrupt conventional thinking while sharing tips on: acquiring and developing digital content, on-boarding teachers and administrators to rich blended learning environments, navigating regulations, starting win-win conversations on funding decisions, and maintaining the infrastructure of equity.
