Brief Session Description: Creating a good RFP (Request for Proposal) is a big deal. This is especially true with Erate and other large ticket items. Not having a good RFP and a well defined RFP process can open your district up to outside scrutiny, cost your district money and make you settle for second best products.

Learn how the Department of Technology in the Green Bay Area Public Schools has built 'boilerplate' for service, software and hardware RFPs. How using the RFI (Request for Information) process can enhance your RFPs. Learn how we create our RFPs and how the details of the RFP are tightly woven into the evaluation of bids. Going through a proper RFI, RFP and evaluation creates a process that can withstand the scrutiny of a public records request. It is not easy but if you are going to do it, you should do it well.
