Angela Pittman is a Senior Consultant within PCG's Human Services practice area based in Asheville, North Carolina. Angela brings over 25 years' experience in Health and Human Services settings, in executive leadership positions, including Social Work Director for Buncombe County Health and Human Services. In order to build a resilient workforce, Angela implemented secondary trauma supports and other strategies that led the organization to from a 39% turnover rate in child welfare to 7.6% in 2014. While at PCG, Angela has done a variety of work, including: evaluation & recommendations to improve state and county child protective services systems; analyzing tax levy needs related to child welfare; recruitment and retention of family foster homes to address congregate care needs; consolidating HHS call centers, and; IV-E revenue maximization. In addition, she provides subject matter expertise on a number of projects across the US. Angela presents in multiple venues each year related to leadership, building a resilient workforce and other child welfare topics. Angela holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Western Carolina University and a Master of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, with a concentration in organizational leadership and management.
