Marianne Middelveen is a microbiologist currently specializing in Veterinary Microbiology. She has a degree in microbiology from the University of Central Florida and post-graduate degrees in Microbial, Biochemical, and Environmental Sciences from Georgia State University and the University of Calgary. She has done research at the Amazon Center for Research and Control of Tropical Diseases and the Institute for Tropical Medicine in Venezuela, at Georgia State University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and at the University of Calgary. At present, she is collaborating with Dr Raphael Stricker, Dr Eva Sapi and her students, Dr Peter Mayne, and Jennie Burke and the staff at Australian Biologics, on several Lyme-related projects, including the association of Lyme disease with Morgellons disease.
