The Ecology and Geospatial Distribution of Borrelia and Ehrlichia
Kurt Reed, M.D. is an infectious disease pathologist with research interests focused on the ecology of emerging infectious diseases. He received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed residency training at Harvard Medical School and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Reed is board certified in pathology, medical microbiology, and public health microbiology, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology. He earned a Masters of Geographic Information Systems from Pennsylvania State University and a Certificate in Remote Sensing from Northeastern University. Dr. Reed was Section Head of Microbiology at Marshfield Clinic for nearly 20 years and more recently as Professor and Vice Chair of Pathology at Northwestern University and the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
ILADS is a nonprofit, international, multi-disciplinary medical society, dedicated to the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of Lyme and its associated diseases.
