In order to facilitate quality field internships in rapidly growing online social work programs, it is vital to develop an infrastructure that will support this growth and ensure continued quality of field experience placements, field supervisors, and support to students. Kathy Phoenix, Our Lady of the Lake University - Worden School of Social Services, Assistant Professor - MSW Field Education Director Online
Kathy Phoenix, LCSW, serves as an Asst. Professor and is the MSW Field Education Director for the online MSW program at OLLU - Worden School of Social Service. Prior to joining the OLLU family she worked for 25 years as a Social Worker in Hospice, Mental Health and Long-term care serving in direct practice, program development and leadership roles. For 19 of those years she served as a field instructor for BSW, MSW and other disciplines. Kathy also served 8 years in the Army Reserve and has dedicated much of her social work practice to work with veterans and their families.
