Heroic Collaboration: Pushing Online Language Learning Past Traditional Limits
The Office of Distance and Extended Learning (ODEL) at Texas State University collaborated with instructors to create online language learning classes. The Spanish classes used publisher-provided technology along with sound instructional design to create a rich, language learning, online environment that pushed the limits of online language learning.

Dr. Travis Irby, Texas State University, Instructional Designer
Dr. Travis Irby works as an instructional designer with the Office of Distance and Extended Learning at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member with the Department of Occupational, Workforce, and Leadership Studies at Texas State University. Dr. Irby's research interests include various forms of online learning and instructional design.
