In this training you will explore Open Source software, specifically Moodle. How The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services use Moodle to create and host staff training. Instructions on "key" Moodle functions will be included.

Jamie Carrington, Department of Family and Protective Services, Business Analyst
Jamie Carrington graduated from Stephen F Austin State University with a Bachelor degree in Social Work followed by a Master degree in Business Administration. Jamie brings 10 years of functional and technical experience in testing software applications, usability, training, elearning, instructional design, and learning management systems in a wide range of subjects, focusing on usability and the development of processes and procedures to help with standardization.
 
Mrs. Jenell Paul, Department of Family and Protective Services, Learning Systems Division Administrator
Jenell Paul graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. in Industrial Distribution Engineering and bridged her educational gap to serve in the public sector with a Masters in Public Administration. Jenell brings over 20 years of social service experience in the areas of casework, human resources, training, analyzing custom software applications and managing the systems that support the industry. Her training expertise began in the private sector and continued in the government arena. She promotes relaying how topics, strategies and tools can be applied in an engaging and energetic manner.
