Dr. Claudia Arcolin, The University of Texas at San Antonio, Instructional Designer
Claudia Arcolin has been working in the field of education and instructional technology since 2003. She holds a doctorate in Cognitive and Training Sciences and a Master's in Continuing Education and E-Learning (both from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Italy). In her doctoral dissertation she analyzed the connection between social capital and quality of learning as a bridge between formal and informal learning environments fostered by "Web 2.0" applications and technologies.
By working in different contexts (institutions of higher education, schools, and enterprises) she developed an applied understanding of different online strategies targeted at different customers, optimizing resources and promoting social and cultural change in the use of technologies.
Her areas of interests include gamification and interaction in online learning environment.
