Help! I Want a Live Teacher!
When students cry for help, distance learning faculty save the day. When distance learning students complain about the lack of live interaction, perhaps a team of teacher heroes could try co-instructed videoconferencing using Life Size distance learning technology. Co-instruction keeps students engaged and melts barriers of distance and skill sets.

Kathleen Cuyler, Coastal Bend College, Associate Professor of English
Kathleen Cuyler has worked as Coordinator for Communications, Division Chair for Liberal Arts, and TSI Coordinator at Coastal Bend College. Currently an Associate Professor of English, she continues to work closely with the departments at the college to help bring academic skills to workforce programs.
 
Victoria Ramirez, Texas A & M Corpus Christi, Co-instructor
Victoria Ramirez began her educational career as a student at Coastal Bend College. With interests in Theater and English, she chose to pursue her four-year degree at TAMUCC as an English Major with a minor in Technical Writing. She currently works as a Writing Consultant in the Writing Center at TAMUCC.
 
Yolanda Abrigo, Coastal Bend College, Director of Distance Learning
Yolanda Abrigo is a guru when it comes to distance learning. She not only serves as the Blackboard Helpdesk for students and faculty alike, but she also assists instructors with one one one training and is always available for emergency rescue. She is a true hero!
