Prior to joining BIS Global, Leigh was VP of Branding at Motionsoft, a fitness management software and billing firm where during his run, the company was named to the INC 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America for five straight years and received multi-year recognition in the Deloitte Fast 500 for Fastest Growing Tech Companies.
Prior to that, Leigh's background includes agency and client-side branding and consumer insight research, where he has overseen and informed corporate, policy and campaign research and branding strategies for clients including Microsoft, McKinsey and Co. Johnson & Johnson, Duke Energy, GE, Monsanto, Friends of the Global Fund, Democracy Corps, NARAL, Kraft, TUMS, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Broadway, the NY Department of Health and New York City Center.
His "field work" as a researcher also includes being in the trenches of the stand-up world where he spent 10 years headlining for audiences across America. He is a recognized expert on pop-culture who has appeared on numerous TV shows including VH1's "Best Week Ever", CNN's "Showbiz Tonight", Discovery Channel & Sirius Radio. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Brandeis University.
Elizabeth Schwan-Rosenwald has over fifteen years of experience in the nonprofit sector with a career focused on cross-sector partnership development and implementation. Since 2009, Elizabeth has held leadership roles with the Taproot Foundation since 2012 serving first as the Executive Director for the Midwest Region and currently as the Vice President for External Affairs. She is the go-to person for bringing companies, nonprofits and philanthropy together to address community and sector-wide challenges with creativity and panache - where partnerships result in significant impact and community change.
In addition to her work with the Taproot Foundation she consults with the Benevolent Group helping nonprofits and the philanthropic community streamline and identify new strategies for engagement and revenue. Previously in 2002, she founded 20% Theatre, an all-women's theatre company dedicated to addressing the inequity of women and power imbalance in the theatre arena and served as Artistic and Producing Director of 20% Theater until 2010. Her nonprofit fundraising career spans some of Chicago's most prominent arts and social justice organizations. Elizabeth holds a BA from Smith College in English and Theatre. She was selected as a 2010 member of American Express Leadership Academy.
Laura is Founder and President of Project Management for Change, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise the profile of the Project Management profession by creating positive impact in our community. She has spent more than 20 years helping people and organizations accomplish their most critical business objectives. She is the Co Founder of the Project Management Day of Service that brings together hundreds of project managers to provide pro bono project management consulting services to hundreds of nonprofit leaders each year locally and now around the world.
She has served her community as a board member of nonprofit organizations for 12 years and believes strongly that together, we can have a great impact locally and globally. Laura has a Computer Science degree from Virginia Tech, a Project Management Institute (PMI), PMP certification and a Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification. During her free time, Laura also runs a consulting, training and coaching business, PMO Strategies, serving for-profit and nonprofit organizations large and small to accomplish their mission critical objectives.
