2:15 PM - 3:30 PM: Breakout 3
The Development Officer can't do it alone! Fundraising must be a team activity. If you intend to achieve breakthroughs in major giving, you need to create a leadership team across your organization by enlisting your CEO, program directors, and board/volunteer leaders to work with you. In this session, you will learn how to create a fundraising power team that can take your major giving to the next level.
The speakers you will hear will present a case study demonstrating strategies you can use to charge up your leadership team and push past a plateau in your development program. You will also complete a brief assessment to determine your organization's readiness for major gift expansion. And you will share worksheets detailing critical steps in a leadership development plan, a process for creating a case for support re-casting the organization's work with a fresh new perspective, and appropriate fundraising roles and activities for each member of your fundraising team.
