Development and Marketing/Communications are inexorably intertwined. It is difficult to achieve fundraising campaign goals without the incorporation of marketing/communications plans. In this day of social media and shorter attention spans, fundraising must go hand-in-hand with great messaging, visuals and storytelling. It's a marriage that must be nurtured.
