For large mass marketing programs those few words and the conversation that hopefully follows might be the only direct human point of contact that a constituent ever has with your organization. Canvassing is a long-term investment that can pay off with increased brand awareness, expanded constituencies, and increased unrestricted revenue. However, developing, deploying, and managing a canvass program is a lot of work.
