11:15 AM - 12:30 PM: Breakout 2
Donors and volunteers from Immanuel Presbyterian Church present the compelling story of how they revived a planned giving program by improving the culture of philanthropy. Taking over 6 years, their committee, with a Higher Power, broke through the invisible barriers that had brought their fundraising to a halt. The panel will reveal the various mysteries they set out to solve, a step by step approach to the solutions (including training and getting support from the church pastor) and how they were able to gain the eventual trust and buy-in from the congregation. With a mission to inspire giving, an annual plan was devised that ultimately created an endowment 10 times its original size and continues to gain in popularity.
