Demystifying National Donor-advised Funds

While donor-advised funds (DAFs) have been a part of American philanthropy for more than seventy-five years, their role in shaping the charitable landscape has grown dramatically over the past two decades as they have become one of the fastest growing vehicles for charitable giving. In this dynamic session, we will explore how the more than 119,000 donors with accounts at Fidelity Charitable approach their philanthropy. We will examine the role their DAFs play in these donors' overall giving and key factors that influence their choice to use various charitable giving methods, including direct giving. This session will also provide actionable insights designed to assist nonprofits with connecting with this desirable target group.
