Carrie Martin Munk joined The ALS Association in July 2012 as chief communications and marketing officer, where she oversees media relations, social media, publication development, branding, advertising, internal communications, and the organization's presence on the web.
As a seasoned spokesperson with the media both on-and-off camera, she has been quoted in major publications and has appeared on camera in nationally televised interviews. Carrie was named Public Relations Professional of the Year by PR Week in 2006, an award for outstanding personal achievement in the PR industry.
She has a master's degree in public communication from American University in Washington, D.C., and a B.A. in English from Longwood University in Farmville, Va.
