As a founding partner of Aspire Nonprofit Partners, Susan brings her clients strategic expertise in planning and managing major gift initiatives, conducting development assessments and re-aligning development programs to increase cost effectiveness and success. For more than four decades, she has guided successful multi-million dollar capital campaigns, annual funds and programs to raise major and planned gifts, foundation grants and corporate support. Prior to Aspire, Susan directed development programs and campaigns for a broad range of nonprofits. She also worked with Skystone Partners as vice president and senior consultant for 20+ years, four of these as managing partner of the firm's Washington office. Among the dozens of organizations she has served nationwide are Gallaudet University, Virginia State University, St. Louis Zoo, US Diplomacy Center (museum at US Department of State), Children's Medical Research Institute (Oklahoma City), the National Guard Education Foundation, Meridian International Center, National Wildlife Federation, The Wilderness Society, Volunteers of America, Washington Performing Arts, ActionAid International-USA, American Red Cross, American Chemical Society and Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Ms. Dankoff is a frequent conference and workshop speaker on grantsmanship, capital campaigns, board development, nonprofit management and major gift solicitations for AFP, the Foundation Center, Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations and others. She has been a volunteer fundraiser for the numerous local and national charities. Ms. Dankoff is a graduate of The George Washington University.
