Who Should You Love Most? Your Donors, Your Members, or Your Subscribers?
Your donors, your subscribers, or your members? Why should you have to pick just one?
Many nonprofits don't rely on one-time and recurring donations as their sole source of income. Often, revenue also comes from a complex mix of magazine/media subscriptions, the sale of cause-based content and/or products, membership fees, and other subscription/membership programs. All too often, nonprofits put these segments into inflexible silos. But when an organization blurs the lines between these segments, new opportunities for additional revenue and engagement can be discovered. It's time to stop picking favorites, and see your subscribers, members, and donors as fundamentally similar.
This presentation explores the interplay between member, subscriber, and donor segments, to help nonprofits maximize fundraising potential, with ideas and tips taken from real world case studies.
