Join us as we discuss methods an instructor can use to make their presence known in the course through design and delivery. We will also look at creative assignments that help instructors make better connections with learners. Bring your ideas!

Karen May, Adjunct Faculty, New Mexico State University-Alamogordo
Karen May is an adjunct Business and Office Technology instructor for New Mexico State University. She is a Master Reviewer, APPQMR facilitator, and serves on the Quality Assurance team at NMSU-A. Karen served on the 6th Edition Rubric Committee for Quality Matters.

Prior to joining NMSU-A, Karen was the Division Chair for Business and CTE programs at Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. She has taught for 40 years in high schools and community colleges in Texas.

Sherrell Wheeler, Director of Online Quality Assurance, New Mexico State U-Alamogordo
Sherrell Wheeler is the Director of Online Quality Assurance and Professor of Business at New Mexico State University Alamogordo. Sherrell serves as a Master Reviewer, a QM Coordinator and facilitates online workshops and courses for QM. Sherrell oversees all aspects of online delivery and design at her institution. She was the 2017 recipient of the “Making a Difference for Students by an Individual” award presented by Quality Matters.
