A Culturally Responsive Framework to Design Empowering Learning Activities, Assignments, & Projects
Culturally responsive teaching is beyond incorporating a culturally relevant text here and there. It is about designing equitable learning experiences to all learners. I this session I suggest the use of ATSA as a culturally responsive framework to designing meaningful, inclusive learning activities, assignments, and/or projects that empower all learners and set them up for success.
 
Learning Objectives
Discuss implementing cultural responsiveness via course design.
Identify the four principles of ATSA Framework.
Explain how ATSA Framework empowers all learners.
